    Gustavo Lopez serves as CEO of Saban Music Group, LLC. With his expansive knowledge as a leader in the music industry, and his 25 years of experience, he builds bridges where artists and business partners can efficiently reach their target audiences. With connection access, distribution, digital, branding, publishing and live event curation under one roof - and with the most experienced team in the business.

    Previously, Gustavo was CEO and founder of Talento Uno Music, the first U.S-based full stack entertainment company for Latin music, as well as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Universal Music Latin Entertainment (UMLE), the world’s number one Latin music company. Gustavo also served as President and Founder of Machete Music, the nation’s leading urban Latin music company thanks to such chart-topping, multi-platinum selling artists such as Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, Wisin & Yandel, Luny Tunes and Hector "El Father," among others.

    In 2012, Gustavo was selected by Billboard as one of the nation’s top brand players in Billboards Power Players List. Gustavo has also been actively involved in the development of Latin music and its artists, speaking at various conferences including, ANA Conferences, Billboard Latin Conferences and the Digital Hollywood Conference – just to name a few.

    Born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, he moved to Los Angeles at age 11. Gustavo began his music business career working at Latin retail outlets at the early age of 15.

    Gustavo earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from California State University Northridge.

  • Todd von Mende

    Chief Financial Officer, Saban Music Group

    Todd von Mende is Chief Financial Officer of Saban Music Group. In this role, Mr. von Mende has the primary responsibility of leading the group’s financial strategy and operations while serving as the key finance liaison between Saban Music Group and Saban Capital Group.

    Mr. von Mende has an extensive background in music, media, entertainment and technology. Mostly recently, he served as CFO of ACTV8me, a Beverly Hills-based mobile advertising technology company. Prior to this, Mr. von Mende held a number of senior level positions including CFO/Head of Global Finance for Television and Home Entertainment at DreamWorks Animation, CFO of Capitol Music Group and CFO of Universal Music Group Distribution at
    Universal Music Group. Mr. von Mende began his career at The Walt Disney Company.

    Mr. von Mende holds an MBA from Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from San Diego State University. Mr. von Mende lives Studio City with his wife and three children.

    Saban Music Latin has appointed esteemed executive and trusted hitmaker Alejandro Reglero as the Head of Saban Music Latin in the role of EVP and General Manager. Mr. Reglero will spearhead A&R, marketing, and operations for the Latin division. Mr. Reglero brings over 25 years of hit-making success for some of Latin music's most prominent artists.

    Alejandro Reglero spent the past decade at Sony Music US Latin where he served as Vice President of A&R. Throughout his illustrious career, he has worked with A-list award-winning superstars such as Enrique Iglesias, Mau & Ricky, Camilo, Jennifer Lopez, Bomba Estereo, Prince Royce, Evaluna Montaner, Yandel, Ricardo Montaner, Becky G, Natti Natasha, Rauw Alejandro, Carlos Vives, and Gloria Estefan, to name a few.

  • Augusto Mendoza

    Head of Commercial & Business Development

    As the Head of Commercial Revenue and Business Development for Saban Music Latin, Augusto Mendoza leads global sales strategy maximizing revenue for SML’s roster of artists across every established, emerging, and future platform. Augusto cultivates new business relations, while enhancing brand sponsorships, sync, merchandising and live events for Saban Music Latin.

    With 15+ years of experience in the Latin music and the entertainment industry, Augusto managed key partners within multiple regions such as Mexico, Central America, Caribbean, and the US Hispanic market. Previously, Augusto was the Director Business Development & Synch for Sony Music Entertainment CAC, he developed strong business relations and different success stories with key clients such as: The Coca Cola Company, DIAGEO, Dominican Republic Tourism Board, Nestlé, PepsiCo, AB-Inbev, La Liga USA, among others. During his career he achieved different business opportunities for local, emerging, and international artists such as: Enrique Iglesias, Farruko, Prince Royce, Nicky Jam, Chayanne, Pitbull, Steve Aoki, Reik, One Direction, Thalia, Santana, Foo Fighters, Camilo, among others.

    Born and raised in Mexico City, Augusto holds an MBA from the Universidad Internacional de la Rioja, a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Anahuac and multiple international business programs in different universities, such as the Harvard Business School. Augusto lives in Miami, FL. and he is passionate about music, sports, public speaking, and spending time with his family.

    SVP Commercial Affairs, Saban Music Group

    Eddy Laca serves as SVP Commercial Affairs for Saban Music Group. In this role, Eddy develops and maintains relationships with monetization partners including Spotify, YouTube and Apple, as well as builds existing and new income streams in relation to recorded content.

    Most recently, Eddy was Head of Commercial Affairs at Talento Uno Music.

    Prior to that, he held a number of roles at Universal Music Group including VP of Sales and Director of Commercial Partnerships

  • Liz Leyva

    VP, Latin Marketing

    As the Vice President of Latin Marketing at Saban Music Group, Elizabeth “Liz” Leyva will spearhead a new era of Latin artists alongside Saban Music Group C.E.O. Gustavo Lopez and Saban Music Latin EVP and General Manager Alejandro Reglero. She will be responsible for artist development and growth strategies by leading creative marketing campaigns that drive maximum exposure to a targeted consumer.

    A 15+ year Latin music and entertainment veteran, Ms. Leyva, has played a key role in the creative marketing strategies behind some of the biggest hits by multi-platinum selling Latin artists. Throughout her illustrious career, Ms. Leyva has held executive positions at Universal Music Latin Entertainment, NBC Universal and most recently, Sony Music US Latin. She has been behind the marketing strategies and notably ignited the success of powerhouses such as Becky G, Natti Natasha, Jennifer Lopez, and REIK. She was also responsible for the development of artists, such as Joss Favela and LALI, and worked with legends like Vicente Fernandez. Ms. Leyva also played an active role in several Diversity & Inclusion programs.

    Ms. Leyva was born in Torrance, CA and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing Management and a minor in Communications.

    Puerto Rican Born Music Executive with a strong creative profile who believes music should be experienced not just heard. Cristobal Brito was the former Director of Publishing for Rimas. In addition to an extensive Music Publishing and A&R career Cristobal is the Co-founder of Good Family Group a Producer and Songwriter management company who currently holds a roster of Jon The Producer 1x Latin Grammy Award Winner 2020 and Palace 2x Latin Grammy Award Winner 2021 (“ Asi Dios Lo Quiso” Ricardo Montaner and Juan Luis Guerra).
